The Burmeister's leaf frog (Phyllomedusa burmeisteri) is a hylid frog native to the Atlantic Forest biome in Brazil, specially in Ouro Preto. This species is now jeopardized by biopiracy because it produces a waxy secretion that has medicinal uses.
